Mississippi River Classic -- Grassroots Summer Basketball Tournament in Dubuque, Iowa

Welcome to the home of the Mississippi River Classic!

We are excited to host our second annual tournament this summer in historic Dubuque, Iowa, overlooking the banks of the Mississippi River.

The tournament, the Mississippi River Classic, will be held on June 4-5, 2011 at Loras College and the University of Dubuque. We will again have divisions for 11U (5th Grade in 2010-2011) through 17U (11th Grade in 2010-2011) boys teams.

Unlike many summer tournaments, we'll play "real" games... with the clock stopping on dead balls and certified officials. All teams are guaranteed at least 4 games, with most teams playing quite a few more.

We feel like Dubuque is a great location to host an event like this, and we expect to attract many quality teams from Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, and other states in the midwest. We hope you'll consider attending our event.

1/10/11: The dates for the 2011 Mississippi River Classic will be June 4-5, and it will again be hosted in Dubuque, Iowa.

The host facility for the Mississippi River Classic is Loras College's new Athletic & Wellness Center, which opened in 2008. All games will be played on wood-surfaced courts with certified officials.
